TORTUGA TRIP route: (San José - Puerto Viejo - Tortuguero - Arenal - Río Celeste - Sámara - Monteverde - Manuel Antonio - Corcovado)
Arrival in Costa Rica Day 1
Welcome to the land of Pura Vida for the beginning of a very beautiful adventure! On arrival, our driver will take you to your hotel to relax by the pool after a long trip.
Puerto Viejo Day 2 to 4
After the delivery of your vehicle you will discover the South Caribbean coast and the small village of Puerto Viejo. You will visit the Bribri Indigenous Community to discover some of their traditions. We also recommend visiting the Cahuita National Park located 30min away to get a first glimpse of the riches of this small country.
Tortuguero Day 5 & 6
The second stage of this stay will take you by boat to the small village of Tortuguero. It has a unique geographical location between sea and river. It is famous for its namesake national park, which is home to incredible biodiversity and is one of the most important places in the world for viewing sea turtles.
La Fortuna Day 7 to 9
La Fortuna is a small town located in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica, near the Arenal Volcano.
One of the main attractions in La Fortuna is the Arenal Volcano. The volcano's perfect cone shape and the surrounding lush rainforest make it a picturesque sight. Many visitors enjoy hiking the trails around the volcano, exploring the national park, and even taking guided tours to witness the volcanic activity and hot springs.
La Fortuna is also famous for its hot springs, which are heated by the geothermal activity of the Arenal Volcano.
Río Celeste Day 10
This morning will be dedicated to the visit of the Tenorio National Park famous for its turquoise river. The park’s main attraction is the Rio Celeste waterfall, a breathtaking natural spectacle. The crystal clear waters of the river fall from a cliff and form a spectacular waterfall. The unique turquoise blue color of the water is due to a natural phenomenon where the minerals present in the river reflect sunlight.
Sámara Day 11 to 13
Playa Samara is a beautiful seaside destination that offers a perfect combination of beach, water activities, unspoilt nature and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you are looking for relaxation or adventure, Playa Samara has something to offer all visitors. The Ocean Seafari excursion will give you a glimpse of the country’s marine life on the Pacific coast. Depending on the season it is possible to observe dolphins, whales, turtles. Snorkeling is also included in the activity.
Monteverde Day 14 & 15
The Monteverde region is known for its tropical cloud-forest, which is ideal for bird watching and lush flora. An activity suspended bridges is included in your stay. These offer spectacular panoramic views of lush vegetation, waterfalls and local wildlife. These tours allow you to walk along the bridges and admire the beauty of the surrounding nature.
Manuel Antonio Day 16 & 17
Manuel Antonio is a popular destination in Costa Rica, famous for its national park and beautiful beaches. The national park is one of the main attractions of the region. It offers a unique combination of dense rainforest, hiking trails and beautiful beaches. You can see a wide variety of wildlife, including Capuchin monkeys, sloths, iguanas and a multitude of tropical birds. Whether you love nature, the beach, adventure or relaxation, Manuel Antonio offers a multitude of attractions to satisfy all tastes and guarantee an unforgettable experience in Costa Rica.
Corcovado Day 18 to 21
Located on the Osa Peninsula, it houses one of the last remaining primary tropical forests in the world. The park is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including rare species such as jaguars, tapirs, and scarlet macaws. You can explore hiking trails through the dense rainforest, discover picturesque waterfalls, observe monkeys and sloths hanging from the trees, and relax on pristine beaches. Departure Day 22
It is now time to return to San José. You will leave your vehicle with our service provider who will take you to the airport with, we hope, lots of beautiful memories.
